My diverse scope of work derives from an 18 year career across commercial photography, art direction and design, backed by a Bachelor of Design from the University of Newcastle. My experience with design and layout gives me a unique perspective on producing images that work in layouts.
My personal passion for roller skating keeps me travelling the world as a sponsored skater for Moxi Rollerskates. Through this ongoing adventure I am forever experiencing new cultures and people who influence me in work and life.
I think we all have our own interests, passions, drivers and desires in life. The things that make us tick. What we want to get out of bed for. For me it’s always been people and engaging with them. In school I was the class clown, in my working career a joker of sorts. I am in every respect an attention seeker and love making people laugh and feel comfortable and maybe sometimes uncomfortable. At the core of that is a desire to connect. To have those shared experiences that offer something new, something interesting, something unique.
My interest in photography developed (no pun intended) around the time my sister gave me my first Kodak point-and-shoot camera. The camera accompanied me on a road trip that commenced in Queensland, and which culminated in Victoria and with me immediately upgrading to an Olympus DSLR.
Many cameras and a lot of experience later, and I find myself Olympus in hand stalking the outdoors for great moments to capture.
